iPad Shipped Today

I preordered an iPad on March 30th and was planning for delivery after April 12th based on the confirmation email I got. However tonite I just received and email from Apple saying my 64GB WiFi iPad has shipped. I'm excited, I got to play with one last Saturday at MacOutfitters in Cranberry, PA and I loved the photo app. As an iPhone user I can't wait to be able to have a little more elbow room with this thing and I'm looking forward to some of the new apps being released for like Netflix and ABC . I'm looking forward to the possibilities this iPad will have as a tool for photographers, mostly as a presentation device.

Vincent Laforet has plans to send his portfolio out digitally to art buyers on iPad's and has already order a number of them with that in mind. I'd like to see Lightroom in a scaled down version for the iPad that would make presentations at weddings possible or as a way to present my photos to clients as well. But sorry, at least for now my iPad is going home with me!

So I got tired of the water falls image on my home page and created a new page from a set of photos I took recently of a Carolina Wren. My wife has been watching one of the birds come to the feeder the last few years but has never seen the pair together until the other day.

Winter Sunset

Finding color an images in the winter can be a challenge but this shot was worth pulling off the side of the road for. I just hope I did it justice.
